Relationship between Man and Earth

I preached yesterday from a popular text- Genesis 1:26-31.  And I spoke in the context of some popular topics today, specifically dealing with the relationship between man and the earth.

In the growing popularity of “going green” today, there must be some Biblical instructions for how the earth functions and what our relationship to it as people is. Here were some of my main points:

Man is the pinnacle of God’s creation.

• Man was the last of creation.

I am finishing prep for Sunday’s sermon, which is coming mostly from the beginning of Genesis.  I will be preaching on the relationship between man and the earth, so I’ve been reading through the Creation account in Genesis.  Every time I read the first few chapters of Genesis, I’m reminded of how amazing our God is!

Some people are visual learners, meaning they can grasp a concept or idea better if they can picture it somehow.  Reading through the days of creation can be difficult for someone who is visual unless they are able to create a diagram in their mind of each day of creation as they read.  The good news- there are already some good ones out there!  If you click on the picture in this post, it will enlarge so you can read it.  I like this one!
