Comfort in the Church- Discussion/Learning Tonight

I believe comfort is one of the greatest hindrances to the church.

I want to remind you that the final session of the 2011 Winter Teaching Series is tonight in the Central Baptist fellowship hall at 6:30.  We have been learning from Jesus’ messages to the 7 churches in the Revelation and tonight will focus on the message to the church in Laodicea, and is an extremely important message for all churches.
Come tonight to be part of the discussion and learning from this passage.  I’m excited about it–it is a message that can change the way our church can impact our community and beyond!

Comfort in Our Refuge

These words of Psalm 46 brought great comfort to me this morning.  God is my refuge.  Christ is all.

1God is our refuge and strength,
a very present help in trouble.
2Therefore we will not fear though the earth gives way,
though the mountains be moved into the heart of the sea,
3though its waters roar and foam,
though the mountains tremble at its swelling.
